Church Custodian
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for the church and its facilities — cleaning, minor maintenance, and event setup. Reports to Pastor Chris. 20 hours per week (flexible) at $23.00 per hour, with a three-month probationary period.
Cleaning & Maintenance
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and sanitizing all church areas
- Emptying trash and restocking supplies
- Maintaining exterior cleanliness
Facility & Event Support
- Setting up and removing furniture for services and events
- Ensuring utilities function and managing door security
- Reporting issues to leadership
Repairs & Safety
- Minor repairs such as bulb changes and leak fixes
- Notifying leadership of major issues
- Monitoring supplies
Qualifications
- Prior custodial experience preferred
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work independently
- Strong organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining a welcoming church environment
- Flexible weekend and evening availability
